This Privacy Policy explains how B Gilmore LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Couple Calendar. It also explains your choices and privacy rights.
By using Couple Calendar, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Couple Calendar is operated by B Gilmore LLC ("Couple Calendar," "we," "us," or "our"), PO Box 603, East Dennis, MA 02641.
Questions about this policy can be sent to brent@brentgilmore.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your phone number, display name, partner name, and account identifiers.
- Shared calendar information: events, dates, times, addresses, notes, leave-time settings, reminders, and other event details you choose to add.
- To-do information: shared, custom, and temporary to-do lists and their items.
- Partner connection information: couple codes, invitation links, and identifiers used to connect partners to the correct shared calendar.
- SMS reminder information: your phone number, the event for which you request a reminder, the selected reminder time, your consent status, and records needed to honor opt-out requests.
- Feedback and support: information you choose to submit through feature-request, cancellation-feedback, or support forms.
Information collected automatically
When you use Couple Calendar, we and our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information, such as device type, operating-system version, app version, IP address, unique device or installation identifiers, crash and diagnostic information, interactions with app features, and the date and time of activity.
Subscription information
Apple processes purchases and payment information. We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, trial status, and related purchase information from Apple and subscription-management providers. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and recover your account;
- connect you with the correct partner and shared couple calendar;
- store, synchronize, and display events and to-do lists across authorized devices;
- send transactional communications that you request, including authentication codes, push notifications, and optional SMS event reminders;
- process subscriptions and determine access to paid features;
- provide support, receive feedback, and respond to requests;
- monitor reliability, diagnose problems, prevent fraud or misuse, and improve Couple Calendar;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. SMS authentication and event reminders
Authentication messages
When you sign in or secure an account with a phone number, Couple Calendar may send a one-time verification code. Authentication messages are used to verify identity and recover the correct account and shared calendar.
Optional event reminders
SMS event reminders are optional and are enabled separately for events you select. When you turn on Send Text Reminder? in an event, you consent to receive automated transactional reminders about that event at the phone number associated with the feature.
Message frequency varies based on the events and reminder times you select. Message and data rates may apply. You can disable a reminder in Couple Calendar or reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS reminders. Reply HELP for help.
Couple Calendar does not use the SMS reminder program to send advertising or promotional messages.
Mobile-information protection
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or message delivery, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We may provide mobile information to service providers, such as Twilio and Firebase, only as necessary to authenticate users, deliver requested messages, maintain consent and suppression records, prevent abuse, and operate Couple Calendar. Those providers may not use this information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5. When we disclose information
We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- With your connected partner: events, shared to-do items, names, and other content intended for the shared couple calendar are visible to the partner connected to that calendar. Secret-event features may limit which event details are displayed to a partner.
- With service providers: vendors may process information on our behalf for hosting, authentication, messaging, analytics, crash reporting, subscriptions, paywalls, deep links, feedback, and customer support. They may use information only to perform services for us and subject to appropriate restrictions.
- For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; protect users, the public, or our rights; investigate fraud or security incidents; or enforce agreements.
- During a business transaction: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets. We will require the recipient to protect the information consistently with applicable law.
- With your direction or consent: we may disclose information when you direct us to do so or provide separate consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share mobile phone numbers or messaging consent for third-party or affiliate marketing or promotional purposes.

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them. We limit the information provided to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Couple Calendar, maintain account and shared-calendar continuity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it is processed.
Temporary to-do items may be archived or removed from active view after the period you select. SMS consent and opt-out records may be retained as necessary to demonstrate consent and ensure that messaging preferences continue to be honored.
8. Data security
